Our story is one of love and inspiration

Over 40 years in the making, our story began with very humble beginnings in Jean Coombe’s kitchen sink. Jean struggled with severely sensitive skin that became irritated and inflamed whenever she would use skincare products and she knew there had to be a better solution. So, armed with the philosophy of doing things as naturally as possible and the knowledge that Mānuka honey is magical, Jean began crafting her own natural skincare.

From there the demand for her products grew from friends and family to a small artisan market clientele. However, it was not until she passed the reins over to her son, Nick Coombe, in 1993 that The Honey Collection was born. The rest, as they say, is history.

We’ve grown up from the days of using a kitchen whisk, an egg timer and old glass bowls to create our delicious concoctions - but the same love and attention is still applied to every batch . We lovingly design and create our skincare on-site in our custom-built facility. No outsourcing. No shortcuts. We do it all ourselves. With our own people.

We are firm believers that Mother Earth has the solution for everything, including perfect skin.

From the purest ingredients to fighting against animal testing, we have our core philosophies that we live by every day. We believe in creating more than just delicious products. We believe in making a difference in the world with the choices we make as a brand. These three values are company-wide commitments that flow through our products and into your hands.

ECO-CONSCIOUS: We love our piece of paradise in New Zealand. We know that without nature, we wouldn’t be where we are today so we use materials that are recyclable, reusable and have a soft impact.

HOME-GROWN: We are New Zealand made. Passionate, knowledgeable locals make up our team. From formulation to packing, the whole process is kept within little sunny Marlborough.
