We believe in creating more than just delicious products.
Long before anyone thought to put healing mānuka honey into skincare, or put the words ‘clean’ and ‘beauty’ together, Jean Coombe was busy crafting her own natural skincare.
At The Honey Collection, natural isn't just a word, it's a philosophy of using the best natural ingredients ingredients and ethical practices to empower you to look and feel beautiful with a clear conscience. We have aligned with a series of organisations, accreditations and certifications that hold the highest and most stringent standards so that you know you’re receiving genuinely clean and natural beauty products.
We think a lot about all the materials we use—and the ones we don’t. We try to avoid new materials and unnecessary packaging, and make sure all of our packages are recyclable or reusable. Have a read of how we're doing our bit here.
Certified Natural
Sustainable, Green, Eco-Friendly, and Ethical. The careless practice of using these terms lightly and synonymously, especially by marketers, has created more than a bit of confusion in the cosmetics industry. This is why we have chosen to certify our skincare with the globally recognised certifying body NATRUE® to provide some clarity in the labelling jungle.
NATRUE® certification verifies that our products have:
• Natural and organic ingredients
• Sustainable production processes
• Environmentally-friendly practices
• No toxins, parabens, petrochemicals or GMO's
• No animal testing
• No synthetic fragrances or dyes
Certified Mānuka Honey
Every batch of our Mānuka honey used in our skincare comes with its own Unique Mānuka Factor (UMF™) rating.
The UMF™ grading system uses the most comprehensive and transparent test currently available for Mānuka honey, and appraises natural, signature markers such as pollen count, Leptosperin, DHA and Methylglyoxal (or MGO). While MGO is the key to determining the UMF™ grade of Mānuka honey, it cannot be used on its own to prove whether a honey is genuine.
We are proudly licensed members of the UMF™ Honey Association. This mark is our way of assuring the quality, purity and authenticity of every batch. Not all honey is equal, which is why you should always look for a UMF™ rating.
